Shelia's Chalet at Little River Canyon CabinFort Payne
In the year 2000 we purchased the land to fulfill our 30 year dream. It would be 15 more years of waiting and planning our dream cabin. It has been a most rewarding experience to be able to enjoy the cabin, sharing it with friends and family. Little River Canyon is a piece of paradise with so much to offer from hiking, kayaking, and swimming to just relaxing on the back porch listening to the river below. It is our hope that others will enjoy it as much as we do!

During the month of October all rental nights are Holiday/Weekend rate pricing. No discounts of any kind except for return guest or extended stay of five nights or more.
4 people is max for this cabin. 2 night minimum -- Check In 4:00 Central Check Out 11:00 Central Time.

Our little family rented this cabin for a few days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabin is incredibly well built, nicely appointed and so cozy for 3-4 people! It's also right by the beautiful Little River Canyon.
The appliances are quite new and the linens are in good condition. Both bathrooms are nice. My tall husband appreciated the spacious downstairs master bathroom shower.
We opted to pay for one delivery of firewood so we could use the outdoor fire pit. Plenty of wood was waiting for us and kindling was easy to find/collect on the property. The chilly evenings were perfect for an outdoor fire and s'mores!!
We also appreciated the end of road location which offered quiet privacy. It was so nice to get away from city noise and just enjoy the sound of sweet birds plus the river across the way.
We would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting to rent near Little River Canyon.

We had an emergency while we were on vacation and the neighbors and owner came and helped us like true neighbors would. The place is gorgeous. The views are incredible. The cabin itself is something out of a story book. I can't tell you how awesome it is when you have a toddler in tow that when things go wrong, you have caring people to help you get right. This place is 20/10, and the area is abundant with things to do and natural beauty.

We enjoyed a wonderful 55th Anniversary during our five night stay,, 5/31/2022 until 6/5/2022. The beautiful log cabin is truly a private and adorable getaway. The spacious back porch was absolutely top of the line with three ceiling fans. The cabin was well equipped with everything you could imagine. The cabin was really clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend Shelia’s Chalet. Thanks to the Todd’s for their helpfulness with the smooth rental process.

Stayed at Shelia’s chalet in December of 2020 and we’ve been homesick for “our cabin” ever since! Definitely recommend this cabin it’s CLEAN, WELL-STOKED, PEACEFUL and QUITE. Stresses of the world melt away when you’re there!

Our family of 5 frequently stays in mountain cabins, and this one was perfection in every sense of the word. From the comfortable beds plus large pull out couch to the high end counters and gas grill/table on the back porch, the stay was incredibly comfortable while also beautiful and rustic. We are hikers and thoroughly enjoyed walking 1/4 mile from the cabin to the Eberhardt Trail which goes down to the base of Little River Canyon, where we swam in the beautiful river and tossed rocks. Even the Big Cafe restaurant just a short drive from the cabin offered a huge variety of delicious food on the days when we didn’t feel like cooking. It was by far the nicest cabin and most relaxing vacation we have taken to date!

We stayed a weekend at the cabin and loved it. It was the perfect getaway for our family to relax and spend time together. The whole cabin has all the amenities you could want. Very nice kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living area. We enjoyed playing cards at the kitchen table and watching a movie before bedtime. The back porch was perfect for a grilling and eating out. It is just a few minutes to great hiking trails. If you're looking for a great place to escape and relax, Sheila's Chalet is the place for you!
